Dear EAC Members, Friends and Colleagues, dear Arborists

An exciting, suspenseful year is coming to an end. The corona pandemic has kept the whole world in a dither and brought the everyday habits we love so much to a standstill. Fortunately, we work outdoors and tree care is less effected by the economic restrictions than, for example, the gastronomy, culture and airline industry. Due to the reduced mobility, nature and the environment are even recovering in parts. I wish you a peaceful Christmas and health, normality and optimism for the New Year. Stay positive in your heart and negative in your lungs!

Farewell to Viktor Lochert

On 30th September 2020 Viktor Lochert passed away at the age of 80. He was based in Croatia and Germany, greatly contributed to the foundation of EAC Member Croatian Arboriculture Association (CAA) and organized ETW certifications for Croatian arborists in 2008/2009. Those EAC Members and Supervisors, who met him personally, will certainly remember him – just like the EAC Office staff with whom he kept in touch for the benefit of Croatian ETWs even after his retirement.
